I’m Kaylee Carlton, a visual artist based in Bend, Oregon, and the artist behind Desperada Design Co.

The landscapes, stories, and spirit of the American West inspire my art, exploring the romance and reality of the West through oil painting, photography, and drawings, and always highlighting the beauty of hunting, fishing, cowboys, horses, and God’s wonderful creation.

I earned a BA in Visual Arts from Point Loma Nazarene University, where I concentrated in Video, Performance, and Interactive Media. My background in film and visual storytelling continues to shape the way I approach my work, with an emphasis on atmosphere, composition, narrative, and emotion.

Desperada Design Co. is an extension of that creative practice—a place where my love for art, the American West, and storytelling come together. Through original artwork and Western-inspired design, my hope is to create pieces that feel timeless, personal, and wild.
