Hi, I’m Kaylee Carlton, the creative hand behind Desperada Design Co. Born in Bend, Oregon, and now based in San Diego, California, my love for the American West was shaped by my family, personal values, and travels across the country. I earned a BA in Visual Arts with a concentration in video, performance, and interactive media, and my diverse artistic background inspires me to explore design across as many mediums as possible. I work part-time creating art, primarily through drawing, painting, and photography, though my experience in film, audio production, and design/marketing has inspired me to broaden my creative pursuits. My style is simple, embodying realism, nostalgia, and honesty, and always drawing from the symbol of the American cowboy, Western landscapes, and the culture that surrounds them. Beyond my personal art, I currently work at Tecovas, where I continue to immerse myself in the Western lifestyle and creative expression that fuels everything I do.

I have worked as a commission artist since 2016 and has exhibited artwork at Keller Gallery in 2025.
